Gloria Lee Ray

Gloria Lee (Thomas) Ray, 88 passed away peacefully at home November 20,2020.

She was born August 16, 1932 in Linton, Indiana to parents James and Dica (Auten) Thomas. April 9, 1948 she married the love of her life, Leland Ray in Vincennes Indiana. They shared 50 wonderful years of marriage.  They had 4 children, 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband Leland, 2 children, 1 granddaughter, 2 great grandchildren, her parents, 2 brother, 6 sisters.

Gloria was a valued member of the Linton Assembly of God for many years and loved her church family. She had a deep love for music.  In her younger years she enjoyed crocheting, fishing, boating, bowling and traveling. Above all Gloria loved God and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her 2 daughter Sherry Ott and Karen Shepherd, 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchild.

Gloria was a wonderful person and will be dearly missed by all.

Visitation for Gloria will be Tuesday, November 24th from 4:00 to 7:00pm. Additional visitation will be Wednesday, November 25th from 2:00 to 3:00pm, funeral service to follow at 3:00pm. Services will be at Flanner & Buchanan Washington Park East. Gloria will be laid to rest, with her husband and son at Washington Park East Cemetery.
