Glenna McDevitt Seeley, aka Glenna F. Seeley, age 103 passed away peacefully on the morning of her 103rd birthday - Friday, March 14, 2025.
Glenna Katherine Fager was born on March 14, 1922 to Glen and Martha Fager in Dayton, OH.
She graduated from Fairview High School where she met her first husband. She attended Wittenberg University in Springfield, OH where she was a member of Alpha Xi Delta.
In January of 1943 she married Richard McDevitt where they lived in Dayton, OH and had two daughters: Crevolyn and Pamela. Richard passed away in 1958.
In June of 1960 Glenna married Dr. Rev. Kenneth Seeley, moving to Kalamazoo, MI. She supported Kenneth in his ministers at Central Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and then after his retirement at Bethel Gilead Church (United Church of Christ) in Kinderhook, MI. Glenna and Kenneth were married 35 years until Kenneth passed away.
Glenna was a Charter member (1966) of P.E.O. Sisterhood Chapter DI in Kalamazoo. She was also a member of Portage United Church of Christ in Portage, MI.
Glenna greatly loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren being very involved in their activities. She also had many dear friends over the years. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, knitting, sewing and helping others.
Glenna worked at Hickory Farms as a manager for many years.
Glenna is survived by her two daughters: Crevolyn (Ross) Bell of Cheboygan, MI and Pamela (Ralph) Johnson of Fishers, IN.
Grandchildren: Stuart (Tiffany) Bell of Galesburg, MI, Christy Bell of Mount Pleasant, SC, Kevin (Claire) Johnson of Fishers, IN and Wendy (Tim) Casteel of Noblesville, IN.
Great grandchildren: Emily, Andrew, Caleb, Elizabeth, Benjamin, Samuel Johnson, and Ellie Casteel.
Glenna is also survived by her beloved nieces and nephews.
Glenna is preceded in death by her two husbands, sister Freda (Phil) Price and Ann (Tom) Kennard, and her parents.
In accordance with Glenna’s wishes, Cremation Rites will be accorded.
A private family graveside service will be held at Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg, OH where Glenna will be laid to rest in the Fager family plot.
