Glenna Marie Lamberg Greathouse was born December 19, 1957, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the proud parents of the late Roy J. and Ann R. Lamberg. Glenna was number five of nine siblings.
At an early age, Glenna professed her faith in Christ and was baptized at Irvington Baptist Church and attended Progressive Missionary Baptist Church under the late Rev. Michael K. Jones.
Glenna was educated in both the Indianapolis Public School System and Washington Township School System and graduated in 1976 from North Central High School. Glenna embarked upon her career endeavors as a Finance and Accounting Specialist at American Cablevision starting in 1983 and retiring in 2007. Glenna often received accolades and awards as a top performer and received Employee of the Year back-to-back in 1994/1995 and 1996/1997. With a tenacity and dedication for work, Glenna continued her work endeavors at Quad Pharmaceutical and International Auto Auction where she retired in 2024.
Glenna met and united in marriage to Robert Jackson and from this union Glenna’s most precious gift was born, Lynn Marie Jackson. Glenna later married her second husband, Jerry H. Greathouse, who is the cornerstone of Lynn’s life.
Glenna affectionally known as ‘GG’ by all, loved to let her light shine everywhere she went. GG was a devoted mother and grandmother which was apparent as her life revolved around her daughter and grandchildren. GG loved all sports, but especially football and the Indianapolis Colts. As an avid traveler, GG would often just drive to visit extended family and experience new adventures. GG had an overwhelming love for music of all genres, with Prince, “Purple Rain” being one of her favorite artists and songs.
Glenna was preceded in death by her parents, Roy J. and Ann R. Lamberg, brother, David Alan Lamberg and nephew, Christopher Alan Lamberg.
Glenna departed this life at the age of 67 years and 4 days after a brave 15-month fight with cancer. Glenna’s cherished memory and legacy shall live on in the lives of her beloved daughter, Lynn M. Jackson; grandchildren, 3rd Petty Officer Robert LeBaron Miller Jr., United States Navy of Norfolk, Virginia, Edynn M. Williams; siblings, Michael (Mona) Lamberg of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Ruth Lamberg, Sharon Lamberg, Carol Lamberg, Rev. Paul (Barbet) Lamberg, Dr. Catherine Lamberg of Cape Coral, Florida, Marlene Donaldson of Glendale, Arizona; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
