Glenna E. Trittipo of Noblesville died peacefully on March 29, 2020 at the age of 89.
She was born May 10, 1930 in Abingdon, Virginia to the late Clifford and Hattie Coe.
Glenna was a beloved mother, granny (grandmother and great-grandmother), wife and friend. She was passionate about her family, friends, and God. She was incredibly loyal and you could always count on her. She was loved deeply by her family and she made sure everyone knew how much she loved them. She had a real zest for life and was always on the go.
She was not afraid of hard work and liked staying busy. She worked for Western Electric on the receiver line for many years. She was a “yellow shirt” (safety patrol) for 18 years in the stands of the 3rd turn at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. She was a cook at Lord Ashley’s, Gary’s Place and several other restaurants over the years. Her favorite people to cook for were her family and friends. She was famous for her meatloaf, yeast rolls and cookies.
Glenna married Charles Trittipo on April 13, 1995 and said it was one of the best days of her life. They enjoyed traveling, gardening, camping, church, and singing in the choir. Spending time with family, her dogs and cat, Rambo, were her favorite things. Over the years, she made hundreds of embroidery and crochet projects, winning many awards for her work. She really enjoyed making things for the ones she loved.
Glenna made the world a better place. She had a huge heart, sweet spirit, and a bright smile that will be missed greatly by all those who knew her.
She is survived by her children: James H. Anderson, Jr., Gloria R. Anderson (Rick), John R. Anderson (Barb), Robin L. Trittipo and Scott A. Trittipo (Jennifer); grandchildren: Jennifer Zackschewski (Shawn), Anna Dillard, Steven Anderson (Kayla) and Shannon Hagist (Danny); great-grandchildren: Abby, Jacob, Zoey, Aliyah, Ava, Halli,,Carli, Dyalton, Gavin and Railee; and special friend, Bea Anderson.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles A. Trittipo and brothers William Coe and June Coe.
The family is holding private services.
