Glenn William Cherry, 85, of Fairland, Indiana passed away on Monday, September 5, 2022. He was born on November 19, 1936 in Austin, Kentucky to the late William Mack Cherry and Edna Levi Cherry. As an avid lover of cars and trucks, he retired from Ford Motor Company in Indianapolis after 45 years of dedicated service. He loved bowling on leagues at All Star and Expo Bowl. When he wasn’t gardening his prized tomatoes, he enjoyed photography and dining with his loving family.
Glenn was preceded in death by his wife, Edith L. Brown Cherry, son William Mark Cherry, daughter, Sandra K. Simpson, son-in-law, Robert G. Feeney, and brothers Doris L. “Doc” Cherry & James F. Cherry.
Glenn is survived by his wife Betty Wilson Cherry; children, Michael G. Cherry (Cheri) and Sherry R. Feeney, Cynthia K. Arbuckle, David R. Simpson, Roy Simpson Jr., Lyndsey N. Alawaidi (Mohamed); brother, George Wayne Cherry (Judy); sister, Phyllis Nunn (Steve); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and his beloved cats.
Visitation and Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022 at Flanner Buchanan -Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street from 11AM to 1PM in the funeral center. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery.
