Gino Barbieri, 90, of Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2015. He was born on August 30, 1925 in Naples, Italy to the late Pasqual and Rosa Barbieri. Gino moved to the United States at a young age and graduated from Tech High School. He worked as a Master Electrician for Bridgeport Brass for over 30 years and enjoyed building and updating electronics in his free time. Gino will be remembered most as the CEO and President of the Speedway Liars Club and his daily gathering at Einstein Bros. Bagels in Speedway; where he made people laugh and smile for 17 years. Gino is survived by his son, Larry (Julie) Barbieri; sister-in-law, Carolyn Barbieri; and nieces, Tina and Lisa Barbieri. A celebration of Ginos life will be held on Monday, December 7, 2015 at 4:30pm at Flanner and Buchanan Speedway. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 2-4:30pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to either the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or IU Health Hospice. Ginos family would like to acknowledge the staff at IU Health- West for their kind and compassionate care of Gino over the years.
