Giles G. “Jim” Rose, 65, of Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2017. He was born on April 28, 1952 in Russell County, VA to James Gordon and Pearl Lucinda (Nixon) Rose. Jim grew up in Ohio and was a 1972 graduate of Perkins High School in Sandusky, OH. He worked for the Ford Motor Co. for 33 years, retiring as a Supervisor in Indianapolis. Jim enjoyed yardwork and building computers with his grandson, Chris. He was a Nascar Racing fan; happy to cheer on the Earnhardt family any chance he could. Jim’s greatest love was his family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 28 years, Pat (Bandell) Rose; children, Christopher (Hope) Oswalt and Traci (Brian) Adams; and 5 grandchildren. Jim is also survived by his mother; and siblings, Connie Rose and William (Shelley) Rose. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services for Jim will be held at 2pm on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Flanner and Buchanan – Memorial Park. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service, also at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. In appreciation for the loving care and support provided to the family, they ask that memorial contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice.
