Geraldine Joyce Ritchey, 83, of Fishers, Indiana, and "formerly of Lexington, KY," passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on December 29, 2024. She was born on October 20, 1941, in Frankfort, Indiana, to the late Porter Washington Williams and Juanita Iline (Crane) Williams.
Gerry was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Ritchey. She worked as a registered nurse, dedicating her career to helping and caring for families, a calling she took great pride in. Her compassion and kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
A woman of many interests, Gerry was particularly fond of lighthouses, often finding peace in their steadfast presence. She was an avid fan of Indiana University sports, with a special passion for IU Basketball. Above all, she had a deep love for animals, especially her little Jack Russell, Louie, who brought her endless joy and companionship.
Gerry is survived by her children, John Kevin Ritchey, Kristina Rose Hartman (Arlie), Jeffrey Bryan Ritchey (Staci), and William Anthony Ritchey; six grandchildren, Alex (Rion), Abby, Ally, Anna, Jackson, and Kate and a host of loving family and friends who will miss her dearly.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Meadowbrook Senior Living and Dignity & Hope Hospice for her care in the last few months and all those who supported Gerry throughout her life. She will be remembered for her nurturing spirit, her devotion to her family, and her unwavering love for those around her.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18th, 2025, from 12-2 p.m. at Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park North 2706 Kessler Blvd West Drive Indianapolis, IN 46228. A graveside service will follow at Washington Park North Cemetery.
