Gerald Wayne Curry, 83, of Naples, FL, passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2017. Formerly of Carmel, IN, he had been a seasonal resident of Naples for over 40 years and a full time resident for the last 3 years. He was born January 2, 1934 in Sandborn, IN, the son of Eugene and Martha (née Farley) Curry.
Mr. Curry was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving honorably during the Korean War. In Indiana he owned and operated Precision Alinement and was Past President of the Classic Car Club of America. He was a member of the Mystic Circle Lodge #685, the Scottish Rite of the Valley of Indianapolis and the Shriners of North America. In Naples, he was a member of the Imperial Golf Club and attended North Naples Methodist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Ruth (née Briddick) Curry; his beloved children, Greg Curry of Carmel, IN and Laurie (Kurt) Roberts of St. Petersburg, FL; brother, Kenneth (Sandra) Curry of Greenwood, IN; sister, Mary (Frank) Dunbar of Indianapolis, IN; and four cherished grandchildren, John Brett Curry, Callie Curry, Sam Zobel and Katie (Mark) Wright.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 15th at 12:00 p.m., with visitation from 10:30 a.m. until time of service.
