Gerald L. Cunningham, 83, Indianapolis, passed away March30, 2017. He was born in Steele, Missouri on January 4, 1934 to John Isaac andOla (Couch) Cunningham. Gerald served in the United States Air Force from 1952to 1956. After returning from Europe, he entered into the world of banking atWest End Savings Bank in Richmond, IN, where he served until retiring aspresident in 1995. While in Richmond, he was active in the Lions Club, servingas president. Gerald was a member of Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church, wherehe served as a deacon. After retiring, he and his wife, Beatrice, moved toHeber Springs, AR, where they lived for 21 years. In Heber Springs, Gerald wasa member of the First Presbyterian Church. While there, he enjoyed golfing,playing cards, fishing, and boating.

Gerald was preceded in death by hisparents and a brother, Kenneth Cunningham. He is survived by his wife, Beatrice(Hoy) Cunningham; sons, Tracey Cunningham and Scott Cunningham (Philana); hisgrandson, Graylan Cunningham; his sisters, Naomi Long, Kathleen Beck, andGeneva Ottinger (Ralph); his niece, Donna Jean Saffley (Charlie); his nephew,Terry Ottinger (Diane); and three great-nieces.

Cremation services have beenentrusted to Flanner and Buchanan- Zionsville. Memorial gifts may be made tothe Alzheimer's Association Greater Indiana, 50 E. 91st Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46240 or tothe Heber Springs Humane Society, 49 Shelter Lane, Heber Springs, AR 72543.
