Gerald E. Reed, 83 of Indianapolis, passed away November 3, 2017. He was born July 27, 1934 in Bowling Green, KY to John Edward and Blanche Roman Reed. He graduated from Arsenal Technical High School and worked as a Firefighter in Indianapolis for 32 years. He was an active member of the Avon Church of God. In his retirement, he enjoyed woodworking and camping.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Lois Marie Reed. Surviving to cherish his memory are his children, Mark and Debbie Reed and Jerri and Steve Foster, grandchildren, Nicholas and Sara Foster, Scott Foster and Christie Knipp, Lindsay Reed and Ben Cox and Andrea Reed and Chad Fox, and great-grandchildren, Jackson Paul Foster, Griffin Cox and Graham Cox.

Friends may visit with her family from 4-8 pm Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Flanner Buchanan – Floral Park, 425 N. Holt Rd., Indianapolis. The funeral service will be at 1 pm Friday at Floral Park.
