Georgia Siamas

Georgia Siamas passed away on Dec. 9, 2020 at her home in Indianapolis. Georgia was born on April 21, 1924 in Indianapolis to Mary and Anthony Plexidonis George. She graduated from Manual High School in Indianapolis. She married the love of her life, John A. Siamas on Dec. 7, 1946. They moved to Crawfordsville where they lived a wonderful life together until his death in 2016.
Georgia worked for many years as a salesperson at Hatfield Furniture in Crawfordsville. She was active in her community and was a member of Eastern Star, Holy Trinity Philioptochos and the Art League. She was a lifetime member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral and attended all three Greek Orthodox churches located on West Street, Pennsylvania Avenue and 106th Street.
Georgia was a loving mother to Sondra (Constantine) Vitsas of Indianapolis and Judge Harry (Suzanne) Siamas of Crawfordsville. She was revered and loved by her grandchildren James, Jonathan and Vanessa Vitsas, Hadley (Dan) Kinnett, Alexis Siamas, Christanne (Joe Miu) Siamas, as well as great-grandchildren Georgia and Sadie Kinnett.
She was predeceased by her parents and husband, sisters Ida McCulley, Bessie Gear and brother James Plexidonis.
A private family funeral service will be held at Holy Trinity in Indianapolis.  Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 3500 W 106th St. Carmel, Indiana 46032.
