George Thomas “Tom” Williford III

George Thomas “Tom” Williford III, 62, of Indianapolis, left this earth to be with his Lord and Savior July 31, 2021.  He was born April 14, 1959, in Washington D.C., the son of late George II and Faye Marie (Whitehurst) Williford.  He married Deborah (Moore) Williford on December 11, 1988.

He graduated from Ivy Tech with a concentration in HVAC in 1986. He went on to work for Duke Realty for 29 years, becoming the lead regional locksmith for the company in the Midwest. He had an extensive knowledge of lock and key systems, HVAC, and was the “go to” for any building maintenance issues. He enjoyed anything cars, racing, and quality time with his wife and kids. He loved his German Shepherd ‘Ares’ and enjoyed spending time taking him on walks and giving loving care of him. He had an extensive miniature model car collection that he built. He enjoyed his recently purchased Pontiac Firebird and had hoped to spend much time at car shows and hanging out with his “car friends”. Everyone he came in contact with, whether work or personal life always talks about how positive and friendly of a person that he was. He had a deep faith in Christ as his personal Savior and his family has hope of seeing him again one day.

He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Deborah Williford; three children, Joseph (Amber) Williford, Heather (William) Goudreau, and Matthew Williford; four grandchildren, Adreyan, Caleigh, Tyler, and Owen; his sister, Susan (Gary) Hassell; and a brother-in-law, Charles Babcock.  He was preceded in passing by a sister, Jean Babcock.

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 12, 2021, at Flanner Buchanan – Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite) 9700 Allisonville Road.  Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to https://gofund.me/a61b27e8.  Online condolences may be shared by visiting flannerbuchanan.com.
