George W. "Bucky" Stromberg

George W. “Bucky” Stromberg, 77 of Carmel, passed away at his home, surrounded by his family, Thursday, March 30, 2023.  Bucky was born June 1, 1945 in Louisville, KY to the late George and Edith Ruth Stromberg. He served in the Army National Guard and attended the University of Louisville.

George owned Stromberg Sales for 30 years and was a manufacturer’s representative for the electrical industry.  He retired in 2004.  He was a member of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church and Rock Steady Boxing.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am Monday, April 10 at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, where family and friends are invited to gather from 9:00 am until the time of the service.

George is survived by his wife, Nancy; children, Mary “Patsy” (husband, Nick) Schanz, Steven W. (wife, Kym) Stromberg and Michael J. Stromberg; grandchildren, Quinn Stromberg and Reed Stromberg; siblings, Jean (husband, Gary) Murphy, Ray (wife, Kelly) Stromberg and Charles (wife, Ellen) Stromberg.  He was preceded in death by his son George “Matt” Stromberg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor or Rock Steady Boxing.
