George Matthew West Iv

George Matthew “Matt” West IV of Indianapolis passed away unexpectedly November 16, 2019, at the age of 30.

He was born September 3, 1989, in Indianapolis to George West III and Beth E. West. He attended Lawrence North High School.  He went on to attain his business degree in Hospitality and Marketing from the IU School of Public and Environmental Affairs. His career continued to blossom, and he was most recently the Director of Operations for the Columbia Club.

His life revolved around his family, his friends, and his work.  He was fun spirited, had a great sense of humor, and was the life of the party.  He will be greatly missed by the many lives he touched in his short time.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Hardy Hunt, Donna Hunt, George West Jr, and Florence West; as well as his aunt Felice Rader.

He leaves behind his parents George and Beth West; siblings Jordan West (Heidi Jacobsen), Hayley West, and Daniel West (Jamie); nieces Isabella and Mackenzie West; aunts Amy Edmonds (Randy), Jill Rochford, Krista Engle (Scott), and Kim Liddle (Jim); cousins Brad, Kelly, Cami, Doug, Aaron, Cara, Austin, Kelsea, Sarah, Cara, Kevin, Taylor and Tori; as well as his beloved feline companion Daisa and many, many friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 23 from 11 AM to 3 PM at Flanner Buchanan – Geist, 7855 Cork Road, Indianapolis. A Celebration of Matt’s Life will be held at 3 PM.
