George H. Dudley

78, of Indianapolis, passed away February 17, 2019. He was born on February 4, 1941 in Sharon, Pennsylvania as the son of Clifton and Rachel Dudley.

After high school, George attended Bethany College where he met his wife, Sue. They were married for 54 years. He was ordained in 1967 and received his Bachelor of Divinity degree from Lexington Theological Seminary. He then served several churches over the next 35 years. They were located in Lexington, KY, Scranton, PA, Richmond, VA, Memphis, TN, Orlando, FL, Girard, IL, Edinberg, IN and Mooresville, IN. The next 10 years he spent working at Parisians prior to retiring in Fishers, IN. In his spare time, George enjoyed his Lionel train collection, playing on the computer and was always up for a good debate over politics.

George is survived by his wife, Sue Dudley; daughter, Kristen Dudley; and sister, Beverly Resler.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters: Thelma Marsteller and Shirley Metrick.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 22, at 11am at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park North, 2706 Kessler Blvd. West Drive, Indianapolis.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Humane Society of Indianapolis or Esophageal Cancer Awareness.
