George Charles Covington

George C. Covington, beloved son of the late Herbert Covington and Eleanor Covington, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2019 at the age of 82. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA in 1937, and moved to Cleveland, Ohio as a child. He was the beloved husband of Judith, and a father of Kimberly (Ferland) and Kathryn Covington.

He graduated from University School in Shaker Heights, and Centre College in Danville, KY where he was a DeKe.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, 2 daughters, 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandsons.

He was active in Kiwanis, and various charitable organizations upon retirement. He never hit a golf ball that he liked, but he loved the game as well as the Indians and the Browns.

A private burial service will be held at the Zionsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to: St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
