Gena Inell Dillon

Gena Inell Dillon (Presley), 77, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away February 23, 2020. She was born November 14, 1942 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Carl Presley and Frances Keown.

Gena and her family relocated to Indiana in 1950 for her father’s work. She was a proud 1960 graduate of Decatur Central High School. She met the love of her life, Melvyn, through a family member when she was 16. It was love at first sight for the pair; they married in 1959 while Gena was still in high school. They spent 61 beautiful years together and remain deeply in love at the time of her passing. Gena is remembered as a kind, helpful woman who loved doing puzzles and collecting shells. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and friend to all. Her passing leaves an empty space in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to meet her, she will be truly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Frances. Surviving to carry on her legacy are loving husband, Melvyn Dillon; children, Sandra Dillon and Larry Dillon; siblings, Winford Presley and Billie Marie Davis; as well as a host of extended family members and friends.

All are welcome to visit Friday, February 28 from 10-1 PM at Flanner Buchanan – Floral Park, 425 N. Holt Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46222. Funeral services will take place at 1 PM at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Floral Park Cemetery immediately following services.
