Gayle R. Feeney,

63, of Indianapolis passed away February 8, 2017.

She was born June 30th, 1953 in Wayne, New Jersey to the late Harry and Mary Sylvester. She received her undergraduate degree in Music Education from Butler University, and later received her MA in Secondary Education from IUPUI. She was with Indianapolis Public Schools for 25 years before she retired. Gayle was an avid reader, crafter, and an animal lover. She participated in community service events including, vision screenings and serving meals at a local church. She was also a budding car show enthusiast!

Gayle was president of the Ben Davis Lions Club, the 25-F District Secretary Lions Club, the Ben Davis Band Booster. She was a part of the Bulldog Club of Indiana, and the Vision Screener Operation KidSight.

Gayle was preceded in death by: Mary Sylvester (mother), Harry Sylvester (father), Linda Sylvester (sister)

She is survived by: Nancy MacKay (aunt), Andrea Feeney (daughter), Thomas & Christine (Saunders) Feeney (son, daughter-in-law), Morgan Feeney & Gene Sasser (daughter, significant other), and her 3 amazing grandchildren Theresa, Conner and Owen
