Gary Joseph Zello

Gary Joseph Zello, 53, of Fishers, Indiana, passed away on May 5, 2021. He was born in Sayre, Pennsylvania, on June 29, 1967, to Brenda Zello and the late Joseph Gary Zello.

Gary was a passionate educator for a majority of his adult life and was adored by all his students. He loved watching movies in his spare time, especially sci-fi movies, like Lord of the Rings and Star Wars. His hobbies included golfing, traveling with his family, and playing computer games. He was a dedicated father and grandfather; he loved picking his grandchildren up from school and taking them swimming or to the park. He was always there for the people he cared about, no matter the time of day or night. He dedicated his life to making sure his wife, children, and grandchildren were happy. Gary was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He will be greatly missed by all.

Gary is survived by his loving wife, Candice; mother, Brenda; children, Scott Elliot Zello-Dean (Jacob), Harley May Zello (fiancé Joshua Amburgey), Savannah Mattison Zello, and Isabella Sofia Zello; siblings, Tammi Lynn Zello and Domonic Clifford Zello (Cherri); grandchildren, Alyssia Amburgey, Ayden Amburgey, Deacon Zello, Jace Amburgey, and Cash Amburgey; nieces, Bridget Kennedy, Gabriella Zello, Kilah Jayne, and Josephine Zello; nephews, Elias Grant Kennedy, David Northrup, Joshua Hatherill, Curtis Bradley, Kenneth Bradley, Rory Kennedy, Hugh Kennedy, and Nicholas Kennedy; and many other loving family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Gary’s GoFundMe to help with hospital bills and funeral costs.

Visitation will be Monday, May 10, from 3 pm to 4 pm, followed by a service at 4 pm. All services will be held at Flanner Buchanan – Hamilton Memorial Park, 4180 Westfield Road, Westfield, IN, 46062.
