Gary Dean Harrold

Gary Dean Harrold, 71, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on July 17, 2018. He was born May 10, 1947 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Ralph and June Harrold; one of three children.

Gary married the love of his life, Frances Gene, on February 19, 1968. The first time Gene’s brother met Gary, it was at a party and he walked on his hands from the front door to the back door. It must have impressed him as he set his sister up with him and the rest is history. The two remined deeply in love for almost 50 years until her passing in 2017. Family remembers Gary as a man who loved NASCAR, go-kart racing and being outdoors. He enjoyed camping in his motorhome and frog-gigging in Marion with his family. He was a jokester with a talent for music; he played the piano and banjo. He will be truly missed by all who were lucky enough to meet him.

He is predeceased by his parents; wife, Frances Gene; and sister, Patricia (Glen) Belden. Surviving to cherish his memory are his children, Tracy Harrold, Patricia Beyer (Linley Russell), Trent (Vanessa) Harrold, Catrina Harrold; brother, Bob (Sue) Harrold; 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, as well as a host of extended family and friends.

Friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering Saturday, July 21 from 10-12 PM at Flanner Buchanan – Floral Park, 425 N. Holt Road, Indianapolis 46222. Services will take place at 12 PM the same day.
