Garfield J. Burkhart

Garfield Junior Burkhart 88 of Indianapolis died on November 25, 2016. Garfield was born on February 10, 1928 in London, KY to Garfield and Jannie (Brock) Burkhart. Garfield worked in the coal mines in Kentucky then he relocated to Indianapolis where Garfield was a custodian and a school bus driver for Decatur Central Junior High School for 20 years. Garfield was preceded in death by his loving wife Wilma Burkhart and four children, Jimmy, Rickey, Benny and Jerry Burkhart. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday November 30, 2016 at 10 am at Floral Park Cemetery. Garfield is survived by his children Jackie Miller, Phyllis Fultz, Jannie Mosier, David Burkhart and Darryl Burkhart. Flanner and Buchanan-Floral Park Cemetery are handling arrangements.
