Gail Louise King a resident of Shelbyville KY. Born Jan 10, 1951 in Indianapolis, IN and passed away Nov 5, 2019 in Frankfort Ky.

Gail is predeceased by her mother Mary C. (Stuckey) King, brothers Richard E. King and Thomas F. King. She is survived by her father Richard I King, step mother Jane (Bixler) King of Indianapolis, brothers Rodnick I. King of Savannah Georgia, Robert Michael “Mike” King, Jeffrey A. King of DeSoto, Kansas, and Phillip R. King of Indianapolis, IN. sisters Pamela S. Kirkham of Greenwood, Linda M. Nolting of Indianapolis. And her best friend Martha Baumgardner of Shelbyville, KY. She also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins far too numerous to name but always loved and not forgotten.

Gail graduated from St Pius X grade school, Our Lady of Grace Academy, and Indiana College of Business Technology. She worked as a Professional Secretary for the Federal Government in various locations in the world, from Okinawa, Japan, where she was a team member in Operation Home Coming that returned our POWs from North Vietnam, to Frankfort and Louisville KY. She retired from the Federal Service in 2013. She later was employed as a patient registration administrator for the Frankfort Regional Medical Center.

Gail loved to fish, and fishing with her family and Martha was her greatest love. She also love tending her gardens and her vegetables and roses were well nurtured and reflected Gail’s enthusiasm for nature and all living things.

The King Family would like to express their deep gratitude to Gail’s best friend, Martha Baumgardner for the loving care and companionship she gave Gail, especially the last 5 years.
