G. Gilbert Purdy, 83, of Noblesville, passed away April 13, 2020. He was born October 16, 1936 in Camden, New Jersey.
He attended Wabash College before beginning his career as a commercial realtor. He was both a CCIM and a member of the Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of Realtors. He worked for College Life Company and developed the properties surrounding the Pyramids in Indianapolis. He later formed his own company, GGP, Inc.
Gil proudly served in the Army. He was deployed overseas in the Army Intelligence unit. He was an avid model railroad enthusiast. He also loved both coaching youth soccer with his youngest daughter and cheering for his three grandchildren in their activities. His greatest joy was family and friends. He was always ready to entertain with a joke or story.
Gil is survived by his wife of 56 years, Diann Purdy; daughters, Caroline Sonbay (Kenan), and Catherine Kincaid (Ron); and grandchildren, Katherine McGlacken, Brady Horn, and Blake Horn.
A private funeral service is scheduled with Flanner Buchanan – Hamilton Memorial Park in Westfield, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gil’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
