Freddie Gene Gee

Freddie Gene Gee, 81, of Indianapolis, passed away at home on Monday, July 23, 2018.  He was born on May 3, 1937 in Tompkinsville, KY to the late Oral Pent and Lexie Mae (Reecer) Gee.

Fred was a 1955 graduate of Tompkinsville High School and married the love of his life, Mildred, on February 14, 1958.  Together they relocated their young family to the Indianapolis area where Fred became co-owner of G&J Construction for over 20 years.  He later began working with RL Turner, retiring after 10 years.  Fred was a member of Outlook Christian Church and loved gardening.  He was an avid race fan, and always supported his favorite driver, AJ Foyt.  Fred also enjoyed watching IU Basketball and the Indianapolis Colts on TV.  However, his favorite sporting events were those that included his grandchildren.

Fred is survived by his children, Ronnie (Rita) Gee and Kim (David) Piercefield; grandchildren, Donetta (Chadd), Robbie (Kristin), Rodney (Jessica), Sydnee (Josiah), Seth, Spencer, Sutton, Jennifer; great-grandchildren, MaKenzie, Jacob, Jason, Elizabeth and Rickey. Fred is also survived by daughter-in-law, Karen Gee; brother, Richard Gee; and sister, Dean Chapman.  He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mildred Gee; son, Rick Gee; brother, Jack Gee; and sister, Doris Scott.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 27, 2018 from 4-8pm at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park.  Funeral services will take place Saturday morning at 11am, also at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Outlook Christian Church.
