Franklin Ray Renfro, 82, of Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2019.
He was born on March 2, 1937 in Scottsville, KY to the late James Ray Renfro and Lattie Ann (Pardue) Hogue. Frank attended Arsenal Tech High School before enlisting in the U.S. Air Force. Following his honorable discharge, he began working with Naval Avionics/Raytheon, retiring after 20 years of service. Frank was a longtime member of Ritter Ave Baptist Church where he enjoyed singing and playing the guitar.
He is survived by his brother, Paul (Linda) Renfro; nephew, Ryan Renfro and his children, Christian and Chase; niece, Lisa Quintero and her son, Zachari. Frank is also survived by his longtime companion, Inge Moore; and a canine companion, Bailey. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Madelin Hazel Renfro; and infant son, David Ray Renfro.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 from 4-8pm at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park. Funeral services will take place the following morning at 10am, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Disabled American Veterans or the Ritter Ave. Baptist Church.
