Franklin P. (Pat) Cordero, age 82, of Westfield, Indiana, fell asleep on April 10, 2020, Noblesville, Indiana, and is awaiting the return of his lord and savior, Jesus Christ.
Pat is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sharon (Shan) A. (Johnson) Cordero; son, Samuel Forrest Cordero; daughters Lori Ann Cordero Green, and Camille Delores Cordero Hensel; grandchildren: Timothy Wayne Newman II, April Lynette Click, Ashley Diane Thomas Lane, Annaliese Isabel (Cordero) Hensel; and great-grandson Jacob Whitus. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mardi Ann Cordero and son, Franklin Patrick Cordero, Jr.
Born on April 24, 1937, in Oakland, CA, to Ferdinand Patrick Cordero and Dolores Belle Savage Cordero, Pat graduated from Norte Del Rio High School in Sacramento. He received an associate degree in business from California State University, Fresno. Pat served in the United States Air Force in Intelligence from 1956 – 1962 in England and Germany. After his military service, he first worked at his uncle’s automobile dealership, Ed Cordero Chevrolet, in Pacifica, CA, and for 35 years worked at other dealerships in California and Indiana. Pat worked for the IRS for a brief period and retired from Daimler Chrysler in 2006 after 11 years in Quality Control.
A Christian believer, Pat was faithfully involved with The Way International from 1976 until his death. He served as a home Bible fellowship coordinator from 1977-1978. Pat held lifetime memberships in the American Legion, the Air Force Museum in Dayton, OH, and the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY. He was also a member of the Circle City Corvette Club in Indianapolis.
Pat enjoyed entering his Corvette in Car Shows, visiting museums, watching westerns & military history programs and fellowshipping with other Christian believers.
The family asks that any floral tributes be sent to the Celebration of Life for Pat that will be held this summer.
