Frank M. Diehl

Frank Martin Diehl, 81, of Carmel, Indiana, passed away February 13^th, 2021. He was born in Indianapolis, June 8^th, 1939, raised by parents Frank and Margaret (Faker) Diehl.

He graduated from Arsenal Technical high school and continued his education at Indiana University, where he studied business.

Frank proudly served his country in the United States Army.

On June 17^th, 1963, Frank married the love of his life, Patricia “Patti” Thomas. They shared 57 wonderful years together.

For over 50 years, Frank worked as a route salesman until he retired.

Frank was a renowned gospel singer, composer, and performer, sharing his music at every church he could. He was a lifelong songwriter, very gifted in expressing himself through music.

He was an avid fisherman. He also enjoyed collecting guns, a hobby he shared with his sons. Frank enjoyed cheering for his favorite teams, IU and Notre Dame.

Frank is survived by his loving wife, Patti Diehl; his children Jeff (Jennifer) Diehl and George (Jill) Diehl; grandchildren Corey, Tyler, Madison, and Lydia Diehl; his brother Joe Hodge; and his grand-dog Otis.

Besides his parents, Frank is preceded in death by his siblings George, Tom, Bob, and Helen Diehl; his nephew Mike; niece Susan; and sister-in-law Teresa.

Visitation for Frank will be at Flanner Buchanan- Washington Park East, Thursday, February 18^th, from 3pm-7pm. Funeral services will be private but can be streamed online using this link. Frank will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
