Frank H. Cardini

Frank H. Cardini, 68, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022, in Fishers, IN.

Frank was born on November 10, 1953, in McKeesport, PA.  He was a graduate of East Allegheny High School in 1971.  He went on to receive his bachelor’s degree in Accounting, graduating Summa Cum Laude from Penn State University in 1975.  He continued his education, graduating from Wharton Business School Executive Education Program and obtained his CPA license in Pennsylvania and Indiana.

Frank’s distinguished career began as an Audit Accountant with Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. (KPMG), Pittsburgh, PA; followed by Senior Auditor for Westinghouse Electric Corporation, Pittsburgh, PA; Director of Finance for Port Authority of Allegheny County, Pittsburgh, PA; Controller for ABB Power T&D Company, Muncie, IN; Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer for Primex Plastics Corporation, Richmond, IN; Chief Financial Officer for Arrowhead Plastic Engineering, Eaton, IN; Chief Financial Officer for Praxis Consulting, Muncie, IN; and Vice President for Praxis Health, Muncie, IN. Frank retired November, 2020.

Frank was a man of faith, attending Union Chapel Ministries in Muncie, IN.  His greatest joy was his family, that he adored with his whole heart.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Cardini and Lois Cardini-Wertz; and mother-in-law, Lee Ann Smith.

He is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie; and his children, Carl (Dawn) Cardini, Pendleton, IN; Taylor (Alex) Wagner, Columbia, SC; Brandon Rayl, Lakewood, CO; and Logan Rayl, Fishers, IN.  Grandchildren, Eloise, Grace, and Margaret Wagner; Violet Cardini.

He also leaves behind a sister, Elaine (Richard) Wertz, Williamstown, NY; brother-in-law, Tim (Jana) Smith, Cumming, GA; and nephews, Ephraim Wertz, Orion (Hannah) Wertz, Columbus, GA, Austin (Morgan) Smith, Chad Smith.

Family and friends may gather from 2:00 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Flanner Buchanan – Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis 46250.  A memorial service will immediately follow, beginning at 4:00 p.m.
