Frank C. Baden

Frank Carl Baden, 81, passed away peacefully November 16^th, 2022. He was born in Indianapolis, September 18^th, 1941, to parents Frank Stanley and Ruth Olive (Bragg) Baden.

Frank bravely served his country in the United States Navy from 1959 until 1963. He was proud of his time in the service and remained very patriotic throughout his life.

After being set up on a blind date, Frank met the love of his life Betty Williams. They courted off and on, and ultimately married August 6^th, 1974. They shared 48 wonderful years together.

Frank served as a Sergeant for The Indianapolis Police Department for over 20 years, a career he excelled at and enjoyed. Upon retiring from IPD, Frank joined the Indianapolis International Airport Police where he worked for another 20 years, retiring as a TSA Agent.

Frank and Betty are valued members of Indian Creek Christian Church.

Frank was a strong, hardworking gentleman. The ultimate family man, Frank strived to provide for his family. He took no greater joy than when he was spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Travel was a passion for Frank. He and his family loved their yearly vacations to sunny beaches or his favorite, Las Vegas. Frank loved going to casinos, where he often did very well!

Above all, Frank was a devoted, loving husband, father, Papaw, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Baden; children Frank (Dr. Lauren) Baden, Leighann (Chris) O’Neill; grandchildren Wyatt Joseph O’Neill, Ava Joan O’Neill; Brother Jerry (Cindy) Allen; several brothers and sisters-in-law; and 11 nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation for Frank will be Tuesday November 22^nd, 2pm-4pm at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East. His funeral service will begin at 4pm. Frank will be laid to rest with military honors at Washington Park East Cemetery.
