FRANK BUCKLEY was born April 27, 1942 inSledge, Mississippi (Quitman County) to Ira and Birtha Buckley. Hegraduated from Quitman County High School in 1960 and attended college at CoahomaCommunity College and the Mississippi Valley State College, where he met andmarried Leatha Brown.
FRANK was employed as a teacher by the Quitman County School System andClarksdale Quitman County Public School System (1965-1968), Clarksdale PublicSchools (1968-1972) and Indianapolis Public School System (1972-1997), where heserved dutifully for twenty-five years before retiring in 1997.
FRANK’s interests outside of work included family, real estate, doing projectsaround the house and watching television. Time spent with his manyrelatives brought him much happiness and comfort throughout his life and duringhis illness. His joking manner and smile was always a welcome sight towitness. He was truly blessed.
FRANK BUCKLEY left us on Friday, May 13, 2016 at the age of 74, inIndianapolis, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his father, IraBuckley; mother, Birtha Buckley; sister, Mary Ella Weathersby; brother, JohnBuckley; and granddaughter, Ceresa Buckley.
FRANK BUCKLEY is survived by his brothers and sisters, Mattie Tapley, IveryBuckley, Jim Buckley, Thelma Rockett, Walter Buckley, James Buckley, EllaLomax, Otis Buckley, Lillie Coleman, Martha Cody, and Earnestine Jackson; twodaughters, Marcia Sullivan and Zandra D’Hue (Cedric); six grandchildren, CiaraRose, Celina Buckley, Samuel D’Hue, Solomon D’Hue, Eliana D’Hue and SilasD’Hue; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
