Frances A. Selby

Frances A. Selby, 89, of Indianapolis went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 2, 2021. She was born on January 13, 1932 in Indianapolis to the late Carl Raymond Alexander and Mabel Frances (Pennycuff) Alexander. Frances married the love of her life, Donald Crawford Selby, on April 24, 1953. She will be missed sorely by her family and all other lives she touched throughout her life.

Frances was a graduate of Warren Central High School 1950. She worked for 7 years in the family Marathon station. She was also employed by the State of Indiana for 19 years. She loved to ride along with her husband all over the country with Excel Equipment Company of Greenwood, Indiana. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church.

Frances is survived by her loving husband of almost 68 years, Donald; her children: Ralph L. Selby (Norma), Janice L. Anderson (Mike), Carla R. Burkett (David) deceased; her grandchildren: Shawn, Shane, Christopher (Barbara), Danny, Quinten (Samantha), Donnie (Jennifer), Jennifer (Jeremy), Rickey (Miranda), and Travis; her great-grandchildren: Kaydon, Kylie, Alexi, Eli, Liam, Ryker, Davin, Annalene, Mikayla, Makynzee, Ethan, Isaac, Sam, Rachel, and Jacob; and her sisters: Mildred Wyant (The Late Ralph), Dorothy Kendall (The Late Richard), and Carolyn McWhirter.

Frances is preceded in death by her parents Carl and Mabel Alexander, and her siblings, Paul and Raymond Alexander.

Planning a celebration of life April 24, 2021 at Calvary United Methodist Church, tentatively.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary United Methodist Church 725 S. State St. Indianapolis, IN 46203 so the bell will ring again in the tower in honor of her.
