Floyd Jones

Floyd Joneswas born August 9, 1935 in Monticello, Kentucky to the late Russell Jones andAlice Davis Jones and passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Hancock RegionalHospital in Greenfield, Indiana reaching the age of 81 years.

On February26, 1958 he united in marriage to Violet Morrow Jones, and to this union twodaughters survive-Rhonda Corlette of Indianapolis and Lori Yazel (Nathan) ofRushville, Indiana. He is also survivedby one sister, Donna Jean Rhule of Monticello Kentucky and fourgrandchildren-Casey Corlette, Tiffany Maresma (Mario), Zachary Yazel, andHunter Yazel. Also surviving is onegreat-grandchild, Thomas Maresma. Hewas preceded in death by his brothers Fred, Cecil, and Leonard Jones andsisters Edith Tuggle and Imogene Marcum.

Floyd was aproud Marine serving from 1955-1961. He retired from Allisons Transmission inAugust of 1991 after 31 years. Floyd enjoyed time with family and hunting inhis retirement. Floyd was a baptizedbeliever of the Christian Faith.

Serviceswill be 12:00 PM Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Flanner and Buchanan-WashingtonPark East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeralhome. Burial will be in Washington ParkEast Cemetery with military rites.
