Florence Reckitt Buckhorn

Florence R. McNeely Buckhorn 96 of Indianapolis died December 06, 2016. Florence was born in May 05, 1920 in Indianapolis to Harry McNeely and Florence Bennington (Reckitt) Kercheval. Florence attended Park Tudor School and graduated from Arsenal Tech High School and Butler University where she was an art and business major. She worked for Eli Lilly and Co as a secretary. Florence was preceded in death by her husband Charles Francis Buckhorn and her sister Jean K. Bowles. She was a former member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, and St Andrews Catholic Church where she was involved with the Alter Rosary Society and a member of St Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church. Calling will be Friday December 09, 2016 at Flanner and Buchanan-Speedway from 5 to 8 and a Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday December 10 at St Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church at 2 pm. Florence is survived by her daughters Beverly Buckhorn and Barbara (Steve) Harnedy, granddaughters Kara Harnedy and Kimberly (Patrick) Butler, great grandchildren Ashley and Austin Delp and Collin and Evan Smith, and a great great grandson Luchion Jones. Memorial contributions may be made to the Missionaries of Charity honoring Mother Teresa of Calcutta. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
