Flora Allene Price

Flora “Allene” Price of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on January 11, 2023, at the age of 96. Allene was born in Ashland, Kentucky on April 7, 1926, to parents, George, and Martha Mattie (Townsend) Hickman. She worked in manufacturing for many years. Allene enjoyed activities like Bingo and Puzzles. She enjoyed watching the game shows, Wheel of Fortune and Price is Right. Allene found comfort in her home and family. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Allene married James Price on June 27, 1945, and they spent many years together, he preceded her in death in 2009. She is survived by her children, James (Vicki J.) Price and Brenda (Gregory D.) Fisher; grandchildren, Christy Fisher, Jacob (Shery) Fisher, Bryan (Rhiannon) Price; great-grandchildren, AJ Vargochic, Sylas Fisher, Dash Fisher, Andrew Price, and Evan Price.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, George Price; and many siblings.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or the American Heart Association.

Visitation will be held from 11am until 1pm, Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East (10722 E. Washington Street Indianapolis, IN 46229). A Funeral Service will be held at 1pm, directly following the visitation. Burial will follow funeral service at Washington Park East Cemetery.
