Faris Hallal, 70, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away January 23, 2019. Faris was born on March 31, 1948 in Aitneet, Lebanon to the late Rizkallah and Evalin (Bokhair) Hallal. After moving to the United States, Faris dedicated 42 years to a career as a state worker. He took pride in his work and received many accolades during several Indiana government administrations.
Faris was a part of a close-knit family. They were always together for holidays and many other occasions throughout the year. The people he worked with were like an extended family. He even enjoyed dressing up as Santa at work functions during the holiday season.
The family wishes to thank Faris’s good neighbors of 52 years for their friendship and kindness. They also wish to show their gratitude to those at Community Hospital East ICC for excellent care in their time of need.
Faris loved his family immensely. He enjoyed spending time with his many nieces and nephews, as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Faris was a generous man to the neighborhood children at Halloween and looked forward to it every year.
Faris is preceded in death by his parents, Rizkallah and Evalin Hallal and his brother Jowdat Hallal.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his siblings, Zee Hallal Normann (Herb – deceased), George Hallal, Eli (Susan) Hallal and Nadim (Carole) Hallal as well as his many nieces, nephews and friends.
