Evelyn Yvonne "Bonnie" Morris Burke, age 82, passed away August 5, 2017. She was born May 18, 1935 in Indianapolis to Andrew and Anna Morris, who precede her in death. She retired from Indiana Bell Telephone in 1991 after more than 39 years of service. She also worked for H&R Block for 9 years. She was a Past President of Zonta Club of Indianapolis, an International Business and Professional Woman's Organization. She was also a past member of Business and Professional Woman's Club, member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Telephone Pioneers and Oasis. She was a volunteer and supporter of various charities locally and internationally.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Charles Stanley Cole, Herbert Gerald, Andrew Marvin, Wilbur Clayton (Webb) and Joseph Edward Morris, and sister, Anna Quassy. Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughters, Julie Burke (Dale) Watson and Kellie Burke (Jon) Fuller, grandsons, Kevin Fuller (Erin), Jeffrey Thomas (Sarah), Gregory Thomas (Brittney) and Jeremy Watson (Jill), two granddaughters, Dawn Fuller Webb (Adam) and Samantha Watson Neddo (Drew) and eight great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with Bonnie's family from 5 pm to 8 pm Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Flanner and Buchanan – Decatur Township, 5463, Kentucky Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46221. Her life will be celebrated at 11 AM Thursday at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Floral Park Cemetery.
