Evelyn J. Johnson

Evelyn J. (Cross) Johnson, 82, passed away on March 1, 2023.

Evelyn was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to her parents Robert K. and Maude V. (Bird) Cross on July 24, 1940.

She was married to the love of her life for 36 years. Evelyn enjoyed reading, getting her hair done, spending time with her friends, family, and her pets.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Ralph, son Timothy Colbert, and daughter Ginger Johnson.

Evelyn is survived by her beloved children, Janis (Colbert) Luke, John Colbert Jr, Diana (Randy) Meador, and Tammy Thomas. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street Indianapolis, IN 46229, on Monday, March 6th from 11am to 1pm. A funeral service will follow beginning at 1pm. She will be laid to rest in Washington Park East Cemetery.
