Evelyn A. Uminger

Evelyn A. Uminger, 90 of Fishers, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2018.  Evelyn was born September 23, 1928 in Fairlawn, NJ to the late Edmund and Elsa Sinnema.

After high school, Evelyn worked for ALCOA Steel for a short time before devoting her life to being a homemaker and mother.

Evelyn attended St. Louis de Montfort Catholic Church and was a former Girl Scout leader.  She, along with her husband Al, enjoyed traveling especially to the beach and visiting light houses.  Evelyn adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.

Friends and family are invited to gather from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm Sunday, December 30 at Flanner Buchanan-Carmel.  Private family services will be held on Monday at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.

Evelyn was the widow of Albert “Al” Uminger.  She is survived by her children, Curt (wife, Gail), Glenn (wife, Susan) and Sheryl Uminger; grandchildren, Kristen (husband, Jake) Eisterhold, Kyle Uminger, Ross (wife, Brittany) Uminger, Grant (wife, Kendra) Uminger, Brett Uminger; great grandchildren, Isla Eisterhold, Audrey Uminger, Beau Eisterhold, Lucas Uminger; brothers, Ed and Gene Sinnema; sisters, Doris Gammon and Elaine Gagliano.
