Eva Marie Zwilling

Eva Marie Zwilling (Boudreau), age 80, of Indianapolis IN, passed away on Monday November 18th, 2019 in St. Vincent’s Hospital after a brief illness. Eva is survived by her husband of 55 years, Leo Zwilling; and three children, Michael (Sonia) Zwilling, Teresa (Ed) Hansen, Stephen Zwilling. She loved her 6 grandchildren, David, Avery, and Raven Peebles, Yesenia Zwilling, Eddie and Christie Hansen.

Eva was preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph “Bill” Boudreau, and Dr. James Boudreau.

Eva was a founding member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton church in Carmel, Indiana where she also worked for many years. She was an amazing woman who survived polio at the age of 3, leading to lifelong daily challenges. She inspired many people as she faced these challenges with determination, humor, and true grit. She appreciated the assistance from her biggest supporter, and husband, Leo, who helped her remain independent through post-polio challenges in her later years.

Eva graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois, worked, and was a dedicated wife and mother. She enjoyed visits with her grandchildren and those close to them, including Alyse and Michael. She went on to make new friends at Traditions Assisted Living where she was loved by many and famous for her puzzle working skills. As a family, we would love to write more about how great she was, but she wouldn’t want us to “spend all that money”.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22, from 11:00 am to 3:00pm at Flanner Buchanan – Carmel (325 E. Carmel Drive, Carmel, IN 46032).

Funeral Mass will be held next Friday, November 29 at 10:30 am at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church (10655 Haverstick Rd., Carmel, IN 46033).
