Eva Jeannette Rowings

Eva Jeannette Rowings, age 83, was born on June 29, 1939, in Rockville, IN to Howard E. and Jewel Rowings. She received her bachelor’s degree at Indiana State University with a major in Social Studies and two minors one in Latin and one in English, she received her master’s degree from Butler University. Eva was a member of Phi Delta Kappa Sorority.

Eva retired from Teaching after 32 years of service. In her 32 years of experience, she taught at Rivermont Collegiate, Mt. Vernon Community Schools, Brownsburg Community Schools, M.S.D of Decatur Township and Avon Community Schools.

She is survived by her son, Shan Van der Vliet; daughter, Amy Van der Vliet; 4 grandchildren; many other family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 12:00pm-3:00pm service immediately following on Friday April 28, 2023, at Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park North 2706 Kessler Blvd W Dr. Indianapolis.
