Our beloved Eric Robert Gerbers of Fishers, IN, passed away from a car accident on June 21, 2020, at the age of 25.
Eric was born on June 9, 1995.
He attended Cathedral High School and later received his Bachelor’s from the Kelley School of Business at IU. He went on to work as a Healthcare Analyst at Huron Consulting Group in Chicago. He had a bright future ahead of him in his career and planned to relocate to Utah to be with his older brother, Grant.
How do we embark upon describing the life of the incredible E – where can we possibly begin. To encapsulate Eric with words for this obituary is impossible – he was such a life force! Eric was a lifelong member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. His faith was important to him. He was an extreme extrovert with a kind heart and incredible listening skills. He was genuine, charismatic, funny, emotionally intelligent, well spoken, well written, and he possessed a strong work ethic. He was blessed with a wide range of talents and skills. He studied abroad in both Spain and China. Some of the things he enjoyed most included: good food, music, dancing, working out, water skiing, snow skiing, jet skiing, and reading; but he will most likely always be remembered for his amazing personality, welcoming smile, and deep conversations (the deeper the better). He also loved to travel and had already visited 18 countries and journeyed to all 50 states. He encouraged us to be the best versions of ourselves – he was all about learning and developing. Of course, like everyone Eric had his imperfections, but he was truly wise beyond his 25 years of age. He was family centric, and he enjoyed spending time with close friends. Anyone who had the opportunity to “hang” with Eric was fortunate. We know that his desire would be for you to smile and be happy when you think of him. We will forever praise God for giving us the opportunity to have 25 years with this treasured one-of-a-kind soul. And by the way, E, your grandiloquent verbiage will be missed by us but forever appreciated in heaven😊.
He is survived by his brothers Grant (fiancé Katie Burrell) and Mitchell as well as his parents, Jeff and Tracy.
