Eric A. Petruzzi

Eric A. Petruzzi, 20, Carmel, passed away November 10, 2016. He was born January 17, 1996, in Indianapolis, the son of Dale A. Petruzzi and Jill C. (Fischer) Petruzzi.

Eric graduated from Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School in 2014. He spent two years at Regis University in Denver. In 2016, Eric returned back home to play baseball at Marian University, where he currently was a sophomore. Eric was passionate about baseball and proudly wore #21. He loved spending time with his family, attending concerts, and snowboarding. He will always be remembered for his infectious smile and twinkle in his eye. He was a charming young man, who will be forever missed.

He is survived by his loving and proud parents, Dale Petruzzi and Jill Petruzzi; sister, Cynthia (Chad) Schieler; and brother Danny Petruzzi; maternal grandparents, James and Constance Fischer; aunts and uncles, Michael (Kari) Fischer, Jeanne (Chris) Auffrey, Thomas (Maureen) Fischer, Jaclyn (Jonathan) VanWoerkom, Dean (Karee) Petruzzi, David (Kristi) Petruzzi, and Dennis (Mary) Petruzzi; his cousins, David, Erin, Kristin, Michael, Patrick, Anna, Mae, Ellie, Tommy, Kara, Will, Elyse, Erika, Erynn, Evan, Michael, Nicholas, Grayce, John, and Eva; and his dog, Zoe. He was preceded in passing by his grandparents, John Julian and Joyce Petruzzi; and cousin Megan Fischer.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:15 a.m. Monday, November 14, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 10655 Haverstick Road. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Sunday, November 13, 2016, at the church.
