Emmanuel “Noel” S. Malig died June 30, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family at the age of 74.
He was born November 29, 1944 in Manila, Philippines to the late Ceferino Liw Malig, Sr and Emmanuela Salanga Malig.
He came to America from the Philippines in 1988. He obtained his associates degree in Accounting from Ivy Tech. He retired after 15 years as an Accoutning Clerk for Bank One.
He enjoyed Indiana sports including the Colts, Pacers, Notre Dame, Purdue, and IU. His passions include eating Chinese food and watching TV and movies.
He is survived by his siblings Teresita Malig, Cynthia Leh (the late Ben Leh), Ceterino Liw Malig, Jr (Mercee Malig), Jovita Fe Boothe, Ophelia M. Zalamaea (Elfrid Zalamaea), Rowena M. Abratigue (Ben Abratigue), Gloria M. Cellona (John Cellona), and Nepoleon S. Malig (Lily Malig); nieces and nephews JJ Malig, Nonong Malig, Ian Malig, Monica Boothe, Vinson Boothe, Patrick Boothe, Kate Trias, Paolo Abratigue, Chesca Malig, and Mico Malig; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 11 from 4 to 8 pm at Flanner Buchanan – Geist, 7855 Cork Road, Indianapolis. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, July 12 at 10:30 AM with visitation 9:30 AM until the time of service at Holy Spirit Parish at Geist, 10350 Glaser Way, Indianapolis. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Indianapolis.
In lieu of sending flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in his honor to Holy Spirit Parish at Geist or the Indiana School for the Deaf, 1200 E. 42nd St, Indianapolis, IN 46205.
