Emma Jean Lents

Emma Jean (Perkins) Lents, 95, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away Friday February 24, 2023, in Indianapolis, IN.  She was born on April 13, 1927, to Tom and Helen (Gibson) Perkins.  Emma graduated from Arsenal Technical High School and married Paul Lents on February 07, 1946.  She was preceded in death by Paul and a brother Joseph Miles and sister Mary Jane Perkins, Betty Norris, Alice Cornett, and Ruby Ruehl.  Emma is survived by her daughters Paula (Jack) Corpuz and Connie (Frank) Ballard from Owensboro, KY., and nieces and nephews.  She retired from the Indiana Historical Society, and she enjoyed traveling, playing euchre, and spending time with her family and her dog Ellie.  Visitation will be held on Friday March 03 at St. Susanna Catholic Church from 11 AM to 12:30 PM followed by a funeral mass at 12:30 PM.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be given in memory of Emma to St. Susanna Catholic Church.  Flanner Buchanan-Speedway are handling arrangements.  Online condolences may be shared at www.flannerbuchanan.com
