Emily Renee Settle

Emily Renee Settle, 24, of Westfield, passed away at her home Sunday, September 19, 2021, surrounded by her loving family, after a 5 year battle with leukemia.  Emily was born March 25, 1997, in Noblesville, Indiana.  She was a 2015 graduate of Westfield High School, where she was a member of the Cross County and Track teams. She completed one year at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, where she  studied Dental Hygiene and was a member of the Saluki Cross Country and Track teams. Once she was physically able to begin her college studies again, she was taking classes through Indiana Wesleyan University, toward a major in Social Work. She felt very strongly about giving back to patients and helping in ways that she had been helped over the past five years.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, September 24 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Christ United Methodist Church 318 N. Union Street, Westfield.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 25 at 10:30 am at Northview Church, 1191 W. 186^th Street, Westfield, with additional gathering time from 9:00 am until the time of the service.

Emily is survived by her furry companion, Millie;  parents, Mike and Sandy Settle of Westfield; sister, Paige (husband, Tristan) Palmer of Indianapolis; long-time boyfriend, Luke Horton of Ozark, Illinois; grandparents, Charles and Dorothy Surber of Columbus, Indiana  and Don and Eleanor Settle of Hope, Indiana. She also leaves behind many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

This fund was established (with her help before her passing) to support young adult Indiana cancer patients with financial assistance to meet their travel and day to day needs while receiving treatment.
