Elsie L. Kilburn, 82, passed away on August 21, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on January 13, 1937 to the late Henry and Sarah Givan in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.

Elsie married the love of her life, Ambrose Kilburn, on July 19, 1952. Together they raised two adoring children in their Indianapolis home. She excelled at gardening and had a special place in her heart for the rose bushes she tended to every year.

Elsie is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Ambrose Kilburn; daughter, Mildred Dearmin; grandson, Michael; two great-grandsons; one great-great- granddaughter; and sister, Cynthia Horton of Mooresville.

Elsie is preceded in death by her son, Ronald G. Kilburn; Amos Givan of Elizabethtown, K, Tilman Givan of Eastview, Kentucky, Dorothy Marsh of Monrovia, Indiana, and Sylvia Eubank of  Vine Grove, Kentucky.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 26th, 2019 from 4-8PM at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 East Washington Street, Indianapolis. Funeral services will be held the following day, Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at 11AM.
