Else Campbell

Mrs. Else Campbell, of Indianapolis, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Westminster Village of Indianapolis. She was 88.Else was born February 20, 1930 in Schwabisch, Germany, a daughter of the late Johann and Freida Frey.Else was educated in Germany and it was there that she met and married William R. Campbell. Soon after their marriage, the young couple came to the United States.                         .

She was employed by BMG (formerly RCA) for several years and was a member of the Indianapolis Liederkranz and for many years sang in it’s Damen Choir. She was also a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.

Else is survived by her daughters, Rebecca (Kenneth) Lightle and Tina Scaringe; her grandchildren, Jeremy (Jill) Lightle, Amanda (Ryan) Mack, Kelsie Scaringe and Jared Scaringe, her great-grandchildren, Jaclyn, Jacob and Kayla as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in passing by her husband, William R. Campbell; her son-in-law, Michael Scaringe and her siblings, Gertrude Shruba, Erna Savoca and Loni Rupp.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 23, 2019 from 4:00 pm until 7:00pm at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East. Funeral Services will be Thursday, January 24, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Funeral Center.  Burial will follow to Washington Park East Cemetery.

For those choosing to make a memorial contribution, the family has requested they be offered to the Indianapolis Liederkranz Damen Choir.
