Elizabeth “Betty” M. Auch

90, Indianapolis, formerly of Greenfield, IN passed away July 29, 2017. Betty was born in Indianapolis, IN on May 21, 1927 to parents, Fred and Hanna M. (Stubbs) Schniepp. Her mother, Hanna passed when Betty was very young. Her father went on to marry Velma Anderson who assumed the role of Betty’s mother most of her life. During her career, Betty worked as a bookkeeper. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Greenfield, and volunteered with the Hancock Memorial Hospital Guild. She loved to knit blankets to donate to the hospital and to work crossword puzzles.

In addition to her mother, Hanna, Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Velma Schniepp; husband, Carl E. Auch; children, Caroline Auch and Steven Auch; and half-brother Jack Schniepp.

Betty will be lovingly missed by her children: Carol E. Farquhar (Michael) and Matthew C. Auch (Tina); daughter-in-law, Donna; grandchildren: Stephanie, Stacey, Teresa, Allen and Andrew; and great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Quentin, Brianna, Josiah and Charlie; and her sister, Louise.

Friends may gather from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 12, 2017 Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, where funeral services will immediately follow at 2 p.m. Inurnment will follow services in Washington Park East Cemetery.
