Elizabeth Louise Boen

Elizabeth Louise Boen (Harris), 84, was called to her heavenly home to be with her beloved husband, Carl Francis Boen, daughter, Carla Boen Shaffer, sister, Patty Bush, and niece, Stacy Harris, on Saturday February 26th. She was born in Indianapolis in 1938 to mother, Catherine Louise Harris, and father, Orville Harris. Many knew Elizabeth as Betty. She retired after 40 years at Kroger Company and was an active member with Post Road Christian Church and Red Hat’s Club. Betty loved spending time with her family, exercise group, and traveling. In addition, she enjoyed lunching with her friends who meant so much to her. Betty is survived by daughter Sherry Boen-Miller (David), son-in-law Doug Shaffer, granddaughters: Alexis Woodward (Tim), Rachel Miller; brothers: George Harris (Pat), and Gary Harris (Janice); nephews: Greg Harris (Brandy), Gerry Bush (Cindy), Jeff Harris (Julie), and Chris Harris (Jessie); niece, Catherine Gray (Devin), great-nephews: Kipton, Kole, Kyle, Levi, Zac, and Gaevan; great-nieces: Brittani, Sara, Delaney, Alexis, and Amelia; as well and many other family and friends. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Post Road Christian Church. Visitation will be held from 11am to 1pm on Monday, March 7, 2022, at Flanner Buchanan - Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN. Funeral service will follow at 1pm.
